Oak Grove Baptist Church

  Are you ready for some baseball?  I’m not talking about Major League baseball, I am talking about Sunday School Baseball at Oak Grove.  Our own Tom Harber has developed a Sunday School Baseball game.  Each class will able to get on base and score runs by sending cards/letters, making telephone calls, making personal visits and enrolling people in their Sunday School Class.  The focus of this is to let people know that we at Oak Grove believe in Sunday School and we want everyone to be a part.  Sunday School affects so many different areas of our church ministry.  In Sunday School the Word of God is taught, we pray for each other, have mission opportunities to reach out to our community, and deepen our fellowship with each other.

 At the Sunday School Conference last December, Anthony Jordan shared the following statistics.  On the average, for the individuals that attend only the worship service each Sunday only 15% still attend after five years.  But for the individuals that attend Sunday School each Sunday, 85% are attending after five years. Sunday School is vital to the growth of each one us in our relationship with our Lord.
